Gonorrhoea

This can affect both sexes and will affect the penis, vagina, anus, rectum, throat and eyes. It can easily be passed from one person to another and spread from one part of the body to another. Most women will not display any symptoms. Those who do may notice a strong, unpleasant smelling discharge from the vagina that can be green or yellow in colour. They may also experience pain or tenderness in the lower abdominal area which can include pain when urinating, irritation or discharge from the anus. 90% of men who have Gonorrhoea will experience a white, yellow or green coloured discharge from the penis, pain or tenderness caused by inflammation of the testicles or prostate gland, irritation or discharge from the anus. Symptoms usually appear about 1-14 days after infection.
